An UptimeRobot alternative that's free for your SaaS
UptimeRobot is a fine product with a generous-looking free tier. The catch arrived in December 2024: the free plan became “personal, non-commercial use only.” If the thing you're monitoring makes money — your SaaS, a client's site, a side project with a Stripe account — you're outside the terms, and the paid plans start at $12/mo.
its200 is built for exactly that project. The free plan is free for commercial use, on purpose and in writing. Paid plans start at $5/mo and are where the alerts to Slack and Discord, the certificate and domain warnings, the heartbeat monitors, and the incident notes live. There are no seats to buy and no per-page fees.
It does less. That's deliberate. If you need checks from twelve regions, a phone call at 3am, or port and ping monitors, UptimeRobot (or Better Stack, or Hyperping) will serve you better and cost you more. If you need to know your app is answering 200 and a page your users can look at when it isn't, read on.

Moving over takes about five minutes
Sign in, paste each URL you monitor, and claim your slug at its200.com/yourapp. The first check runs within seconds. If you use Slack or Discord alerts, add the webhook once on the alerts page and every monitor uses it. Heartbeat monitors give you a URL to put at the end of the cron line. There is no import tool; for the handful of monitors a small team has, typing them in is faster than exporting.
What we're honest about
One check location (a US datacenter), retried before alerting. No SMS. No multi-page status sites. No teams. Those are the things we left out to keep the price at five dollars, and we'll add them only if the people paying ask for them.
